A few months ago, I wrote an article about the challenges CEOs in high-growth industries like technology are facing in finding enough highly skilled talent to fill jobs. The skills gap is a passionate topic for me personally, because my HR and recruiting teams are working hard to find the right talent to help us scale growth to meet market demand. In the article, I called for better collaboration between the government, educational institutions and businesses to develop a stronger workforce and therefore greater innovation and economic impact.

This week was a breath of fresh air for Tribridge. We announced our commitment to creating 200 new jobs over the next three years in Tampa/Hillsborough County, where we are headquartered. The job growth initiative was made possible through a state-led program and strong partnerships with the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation (EDC), the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County and Enterprise Florida.

These 200 new jobs will help us meet the growing global demand for our business technology services – and we will look to attract, train and retain both experienced hires and new college graduates to fill the positions. Many of the jobs will go to two high-growth areas of our business: cloud services and human capital management.

Thanks to this innovative program, we will be able to accelerate our recruiting efforts, develop additional online courses and provide the necessary technical consulting skills training. Without the resources and support from our government and community partners, we wouldn't have the ability to scale our hiring process this quickly.

Tampa Bay is quickly building a global identity as a high-tech community, and we are fortunate to be headquartered in a region that is so supportive of entrepreneurs and businesses. We look forward to building partnerships with other government and community agencies as we aggressively recruit and hire hundreds more team members throughout the other markets where Tribridge team members live and work.
