Put Your Money Where Your People Are
For years organizations have put a lot of money and resources toward the technologies that help manage operations, finances, customers and most every other facet of the business. Except their teams. If people are truly the greatest asset a company has, then how we invest in them should be given just as much priority.
It’s refreshing to see an industry shift in how we are thinking about and approaching the development of talent, teams and culture, especially in the last few years. Prior to that, it was a lot of lip service. Now increasing numbers of companies are investing in the technologies and systems to manage recruitment, retention, training programs and more. And they are reaping the benefits with greater employee satisfaction, productivity and performance.
Especially with the current skills gap in many industries, it’s important that businesses continue to evaluate ways to improve the workforce and ultimately increase profitability. Our own recent investment in Tribridge Academy is already making a big difference for our firm, and I only wish we would have developed a formalized program sooner.
