Why Blog? Why Now? Why Not?
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m never at a loss for words, or opinions for that matter. I’m a passionate person by nature. It’s probably the Italian DNA. And now as I juggle two challenging, yet equally rewarding roles – one as the dad of a teenager and the other as the CEO of a company – I’m reminded everyday of the importance of open communication.
So when folks kept urging me to let my thoughts and opinions loose in the blogosphere, I began checking out other blogs. I was pleasantly surprised to see that, despite the crazy rants out there, many CEOs and other professionals are successfully breaking down the barriers of traditionally closed corporate cultures and really connecting with their team members, partners and, most importantly, customers. I was sold.
Earlier this summer, we redesigned our company website to better reflect who we are as a group and provide a more interactive experience for our visitors. The feedback has been great! We also ventured into the world of Twitter and Facebook. All of this is an effort to broaden our reach, while at the same time strengthen our tight-knit sense of community.
My goal for this blog is to be a collaborative space where we cultivate a thought-provoking, respectful exchange in dialogue. I look forward to sharing authorship with my colleagues here at Tribridge, who, without a doubt, bring a fresh and unique perspective. We want our content to be impactful and a good use of your time, so you won’t see much in the way of code or tutorials.
Our approach will be slightly unorthodox, much like we’ve grown our business, and, for the time being, will feature the things I’m most passionate about: everything from philanthropy and books to customer service and corporate culture. And if you become a regular reader, you may even catch an outrageous childhood tale! Stay tuned.
