Cloud Computing: A Top Theme at Microsoft Partner Advisory Council
Published: March 31, 2011
I recently returned from a trip to Seattle, Washington for PAC and executive meetings with Microsoft. PAC is an acronym for “Partner Advisory Council.” The PAC’s are a great idea – it is a forum where Microsoft presents plans for future software releases, and top Microsoft partners give insight into software functionality, market demands, and customer requirements. It’s a highly collaborative effort, and some great things come of it. The majority of the material discussed at the PAC meetings is protected under NDA, so I can’t really blog about particulars, but the exciting part was tied to the overriding theme of all PAC’s --- it was a clear message around cloud computing. It was a fulfilling meeting for me – Tribridge has provided cloud computing services for over seven years, and invested heavily in retooling and enhancing Cloud infrastructure last year. The PAC meeting and subsequent executive one on ones we had setup brought a realization that though Cloud has become more “mainstream” and more companies are diving into the market, Tribridge is still leading in Cloud computing, especially Dynamics in the Cloud, and we’re working hard to keep it that way. Fun stuff. It’s going to be a busy year.
