HEELYS WINS MICROSOFT 2007 PINNACLE AWARD

North Texas company recognized for its success utilizing Microsoft solutions

(CARROLLTON) Heelys, Inc. has been awarded the prestigious Microsoft 2007 Pinnacle Award for the category of Role Based Customer Award for Operations and Manufacturing, which recognizes customers that utilized Microsoft solutions to drive efficiencies. Heelys, which designs, markets and distributes a patented brand of wheeled footwear as well as safety gear and Heelys brand apparel uses Microsoft’s Dynamics SL software.

“Heelys is very proud to be recognized by Microsoft for this award,” says Michael Staffaroni, Heelys CEO. “Tribridge and Dynamics SL has positioned us to serve a greater number of customers in a more efficient and cost effective manner.”

Before Heelys went public in December 2006, the company recognized the need to leverage the robust Dynamics SL software to handle its increase in demand.

By working with Tribridge, a Microsoft consulting company, Heelys was able to streamline processes and better leverage the technology for increased operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. In addition, EDI Gateway was implemented to automate high volume order entry, shipment tracking and invoicing.

As a result, manual processes were automated, staff hours were reduced, data entry errors were eliminated and customer service improved as order volumes increased. With the current enhancements to the Dynamics SL system, Heelys believes that its order entry, shipment tracking and invoicing system are positioned for sustainable growth.

“We have used the Dynamics SL product since we first started doing business in 2001,” recalls Mike Hessong, Heelys CFO. “The program has shown the ability to grow with us over the years and we look forward to taking advantage of its capabilities.”

The Pinnacle Awards, established in 1997, are presented yearly and recognize Microsoft Dynamics customers that have achieved notable accomplishments with their Microsoft Dynamics applications. Award recipients were selected by a panel of judges and were recognized and at a special awards luncheon in San Diego.
