Tribridge Customer Earns Award for Industry Excellence in Public Sector
TAMPA, Fla. (March 1, 2013) – Tribridge, a leading U.S.-based IT services and business consulting firm, today announced that its customer, the Illinois Department of Corrections (DOC), was recognized by Microsoft® with the 2013 award for Industry Excellence in Public Sector as part of the Microsoft Dynamics Customer Excellence Awards program. Representatives from the Illinois DOC will be honored by Microsoft executives at an awards luncheon March 19 at Convergence 2013 in New Orleans.
The Industry Excellence Award recognizes an organization that has achieved measurable success in a public organization through use of Microsoft Dynamics.
Illinois DOC implemented Offender360, an integrated offender management solution developed by Tribridge and built on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM online platform. Offender360 provides a scalable, user-friendly and cost-effective offender management solution that is capable of managing the entire offender lifecycle. The solution directly supports legislation signed by Gov. Pat Quinn that aims to improve Illinois public safety and criminal justice for the future.
Illinois DOC selected Microsoft Dynamics CRM to manage its statewide criminal justice population as a modern case management solution that will transform DOC business and extend the mission of citizen safety. Illinois DOC is undergoing a phased rollout, anticipating 5,500 users of Offender360 by the summer of 2013. The solution centralizes all information and intelligence on offenders to help staff make more effective and informed decisions regarding placement, rehabilitation and release.
“The open architecture in Microsoft Dynamics lets us create a solution that enables analysis to more effectively serve our offender population,” said Steven Matthews, chief information officer, Illinois DOC. “Because of budget constraints and a shortfall of infrastructure and personnel resources to support this enterprise-level application, we launched the state’s first cloud initiative. This allows us to cut costs while continuing to achieve the mission with a security-enhanced solution.”
Illinois DOC cited the Microsoft Dynamics CRM offering as an application platform that can support modernization initiatives and still achieve impactful, low-cost results.
“Criminal justice agencies are under increasing pressure to improve public safety while managing costly legacy systems and fiscal constraints, and the Illinois DOC is at the forefront of organizations that are transforming operations with a cloud-based solution like Offender360,” said Josh Jaquish, managing director of the Public Sector Practice at Tribridge. “We are thrilled that IDOC is getting well-deserved recognition for its innovation and commitment to better protect the citizens of Illinois.”
