TAMPA, Fla. – August 13, 2014 – Tribridge, a technology services firm specializing in business applications and cloud solutions, announced today plans to create up to 200 new information technology jobs with the expansion of its Tampa headquarters. The positions will fill a variety of roles across the company's practice areas, including human capital management and cloud services, and will nearly double the local workforce by 2016.

“Tribridge is on a high-growth trajectory, and we are excited to recruit and develop experienced hires and new college graduates here in Tampa to meet the growing global demand for our technology services,” said Tony DiBenedetto, Tribridge Chairman and CEO. “We have been fortunate to receive tremendous support from the Tampa Bay community over the years, and we look forward to joining other local technology companies in not only building the next generation workforce but driving greater economic impact and innovation to the area.”

Founded in 1998, Tribridge helps mid-market and enterprise customers solve their business challenges through strategic consulting services, innovative offerings and industry-specific solutions built on the latest technologies. The company currently employs 600 nationwide, with more than 240 based in the Tampa Bay area. In 2013, Tribridge was recognized by Inc. magazine as #55 among the Top 100 leading job creators in the United States. The firm was also ranked the #3 job creator in the state of Florida and the #3 job creator in the IT services category.

President and CEO of Enterprise Florida, Gray Swoope said, “Florida's IT sector continues to grow and Tribridge's expansion is an important addition to this industry. Florida's resources, including a strong workforce, expansive infrastructure and strategic partnerships, have created one of the top business climates in the country. We're excited to see the growth of Tribridge and I look forward to their continued success in the Sunshine State.”

Florida is ranked third in the nation for high-tech establishments, and the Florida High Tech Corridor, anchored by the Tampa Bay region, has been named one of the top tech job hot spots in the U.S. The Tampa metro area is home to approximately 20 percent of Florida's IT positions. In the past five years, local IT jobs have grown at nearly twice the rate of overall average job growth, and are projected to increase by 10 percent over the next five year period.

“Tribridge is an outstanding example of the entrepreneurial success we strive to achieve in Hillsborough County,” said the Hon. Mark Sharpe, Chairman of the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners. “From a start-up company to one of the leading technology services providers in the country, Tribridge now employs hundreds of local residents, and we're proud to support its continued growth and expansion in our community.”

Tribridge joins a growing list of companies that have recently made the decision to expand their IT workforce in Tampa and Hillsborough County, including Peak 10, ConnectWise, Cardinal Solutions Group, DTCC and OpenText.

“Tribridge could have made the decision to locate these jobs anywhere, but they chose to do it in Tampa,” said Mayor Bob Buckhorn, City of Tampa. “That speaks volumes about the size and strength of our IT workforce, and proves that we can compete for high-tech jobs against any city in the country.”

The project was made possible through strong partnerships between Enterprise Florida, the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation, Hillsborough County, the City of Tampa and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.

“The information technology industry is highly competitive, and communities nationwide are working hard to attract companies like Tribridge,” said Allen Brinkman, Chair of the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation and Chairman, President & CEO of SunTrust Bank Tampa Bay. “This expansion sends a strong message about the support and resources our state and local partners are providing to help existing businesses grow and prosper in Hillsborough County.”

In April, the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners and the Tampa City Council approved a combined local incentive package of $200,000, supporting a commitment of $800,000 from the State of Florida through the Qualified Target Industry (QTI) program. The total QTI allocation of $1,000,000 will provide the company with support for up to 200 new, high-wage positions. The incentives, to be distributed over a period of six years, are performance-based, meaning funds are only paid after the jobs are created at the wages promised.
