Riverside Medical Center has been serving the needs of their growing community for nearly five decades. The 336-bed hospital occupies 500,000 square feet and has more than 200 physicians who provide a full range of inpatient and outpatient care. For the past four years, Riverside Medical Center has been named a Top 100 Hospital by Thomson Reuters, a leading provider of information and solutions to improve the cost and quality of healthcare. They also have been honored with five-star ratings for numerous programs and provide top-rated spine, orthopedic and stroke programs and are the #1 Spine Surgery Program in Illinois.
Riverside Medical Center had relied on a revenue cycle package that had its own general ledger for 15 years. Unfortunately for them, the system they used was rarely updated to take advantage of newer technologies that would allow them to automate processes and reduce redundancies. The system was not user-friendly and there was a lot of extra work involved in creating transactions between the various entities of Riverside Medical Center.
- Reduced transaction redundancies between facilities
- Automated workflow that reduces the chance for errors
- Took advantage of Microsoft platform for integration points
- Financial statement creation without rekeying data
- Streamlined report distribution using Microsoft SharePoint
